1. Create and save a template
- Open Firm > Setup > Account templates and select Create template.
- Name the template and describe its intended use. Optional intended account types guide selection; they do not assign the template to future accounts.
- Use Add setting to include the settings to copy. For a setting that should return to inheritance, choose Reset account override.
- Select Add to queue, review the definition in Queued changes, then select Apply firm changes to save it. Saving the definition leaves accounts unchanged.
2. Review and apply it to an account
- Open the account’s Setup and choose Apply account template.
- Find the saved template, select Apply to this account, check the account name, and select Review changes. Queued definition edits are excluded.
- Review the before/after lines. Actual changes start checked; matching saved settings appear as Unchanged. Uncheck changes you do not want to apply.
- Inspect list additions and removals and any changes to inheritance. Copying a value that matches an inherited value can still write an explicit account override.
- Resolve incompatible selections, such as a model change that conflicts with a retained sleeve setting. If relevant settings changed during review, refresh and review them again.
- Select Apply to save the checked changes. Applying a template does not place trades.
3. Edit or archive a template
Return to Firm > Setup > Account templates. Select Edit, change the settings, and select Update queued template. To retire a template, select Archive instead. Review Queued changes and select Apply firm changes. Existing account settings stay unchanged. Show archived includes retired templates in the list; past application records remain available.Apply with Tilt Agent
